Our Tuesday Inspiration - on Failure

Tuesday, January 27th, 2009

Thought I’d share this tidbit from Michelle Cederberg.

It’s been a busy day and am grateful for the wonderful blessings that I continually receive from all around.

Remember to keep your eye on the prize…

Stay fabulous!

“Failure isn’t failing at the project at hand.  Failure is giving up on yourself.”

 ~ Donna deVerona

Any task is surmountable as long as you have the guts to keep at it.  Life is full of obstacles and challenges that the successful individual will continually knock down or climb over.  Failure is coming onto a road block and sitting down beside it without figuring a way past.  You may think you’re the only one who gets inundated with hardships, but the truth is those who seemingly breeze through life still face difficulties.  They’ve simply found a way to turn them into opportunities.  They don’t see the wall.  They see the possibilities on the other side.  That’s triumph!

My, time does fly!  I’ve been snowed and haven’t had a chance to blog.

OK this might sound like a lame excuse for those of you out there that came to this world with the blogging gene.  I, however, am more into micro-blogging i.e. Twitter.  And so, I have made Blogging as one of my New Year’s Resolutions.  I would love to hear your thoughts on what you’d like to read more about - let me know!

And yes, November was a great month for me.  My VANA community awarded me with the VAccolade Business Entrepreneur Award for the week of November 23rd.  And here is a press release that talks about this award.

By the way, have you written your cards yet? If you are as busy as I am you may want to check out SendOutCards. It’s a great tool to stay in touch with personal and business contacts.  And most of all, it is all created in the comfort of your computer.  No lining up in the card shops and the post office - check it out! cards.yourfabva.com

There are a lot of exciting initiatives that I am currently working on - projects that I’ve lined up for 2009. Stay tuned and do drop me a line and let me know your thoughts.  In the meantime, enjoy the season and don’t forget to share the love with family, friends and with your community.

Blessings, everyone!

Fellow Entrepreneurs - Keep your Eye on the Prize!

What a roller-coaster ride!  A few years back, everyone I personally knew would go out a-spending and painting the town red — well, life is good.  And as much as it is hard to tune out to the on-goings with our economy, I know that LIFE IS STILL GOOD.  However, with all this negative talk about the world markets, I’m so ready to head out to an island get-away with no internet, no phone, no connection to the outside world — easier said than done!

Most of us are in PANIC mode - and that’s fine because we are wired to feel this way.  The crisis is real and we are reacting to it.  But I just want to put my two cents out there for all of us:  now is not the time to hold off on our spending. We should continue to pay into our retirement plans, we should continue to put money in the banking system.  Let us not go against the Laws of Economics.  I know it may sound counter-productive, but if you can afford to invest in, say, real estate, do it!  You may find some bargains out there.  My point is this: continue to be creative by finding better, effective and affordable ways of doing what you need to get done.

I know it is hard to stay focused - but if we persevere and continue to just do the things that we love doing, our hardwork will pay off.  Always keep your eye on the prize!

Stay fabulous, everyone!
